Ø  Pre-Registration Checklist

Before you begin, ensure you have the following scanned documents ready (typically in JPEG or PDF format):

• Photograph: Less than 500 KB.
• Signature: Less than 500 KB (on a plain white background).
• Class 10 & 12 Marksheets: Less than 1024 KB.
• Category/Caste Certificate: If applicable (SC/ST/OBC/EWS).

Ø  Step-by-Step Registration Process

Step 1: New User Registration

1. Visit the official Samarth portal for your specific university (e.g., CCSU Samarth or MSU Saharanpur Samarth).
2. Click on the "New Registration" button.
3. Enter your Full Name and Date of Birth exactly as they appear on your Class 10/12 marksheet.
4. Provide a valid Email ID and Mobile Number. You will receive an OTP or verification link; ensure these stay active throughout the admission cycle.
5. Create a strong password and complete the Captcha to submit.

Step 2: Account Verification & Login

1. Check your email/SMS for an OTP or Verification Code.
2. Enter the code on the portal to activate your account.
3. Log in using your Registered Email/Registration Number and the password you created.

Step 3: Completing the Profile

Once logged in, you must fill out several mandatory sections:

• Personal Details: Parent's name, category, gender, and contact address.
• Academic Details: Marks obtained in Class 10 and Class 12 (or equivalent).
• Other Details: NCC/NSS certificates, sports achievements, or "Agriculturist Quota" details if applying for Ag courses.
• Uploads: Upload the scanned documents mentioned in the checklist above.

Step 4: Program Selection & Application

1. Click on "Apply to Programme."
2. Select the Program Level (UG/PG) and the specific course (e.g., B.Sc. Hons Agriculture).
3. Select your College Preferences. Some portals (like Assam or Uttarakhand) allow you to choose up to 10 college/program combinations.
4. Review your form carefully. Important: Most Samarth portals do not allow editing once the final "Submit" button is clicked.

Step 5: Fee Payment

1. Pay the registration fee via the secure online gateway (Net Banking, UPI, or Credit/Debit Card).
2. Download the Acknowledgement Receipt: Save a copy of the final application form and the payment receipt for future counseling rounds.
