The Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology (MEXT) of Japan is currently accepting applications from Indian students across multiple disciplines, including agriculture.
Coverage: Fully funded tuition fees, round-trip airfare, and a monthly stipend ranging from 117,000 to 145,000 yen.
Categories & Deadlines: The Research student category closed on 15 May, but applications for Undergraduate Degrees, College of Technology (KOSEN), and Specialised Training Colleges (STC) remain open until 25 May 2026.
Application Method: Hard copies must be submitted physically by post or courier to the relevant Japanese Embassy or Consulate.

SAFS African Research Grant: Offers up to £2,000 for flight and living costs for a month of targeted research. Deadline: 23 May 2026.
